Red is a Los Angeles based composer and musician. Drawing from a varied background including punk, blues and straight-laced serious classical music, his work has appeared in short films, in advertisements and on PBS as part of a documentary about the shipwreck of the San Augustín. Red’s concert works range from opera to electronic compositions and have been performed by ensembles such as the International Low Brass Trio and the Oakland East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus.

Red is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Elinor Armer and Conrad Susa. Other important teachers and mentors are Belinda Reynolds, Hall Goff, Melecio Magdaluyo, John Boyle, Daniel Janisch, Charlie Beutter and Noam and Clay.
